Initially we thought these are Photoshop images. But after watching the below video which shows using of GMail soap, we believe these are real images.

Stop Microsoft Windows Update Bothering You To Restart

Microsoft Windows Update application helps us to automatically install latest updates of operating system and other products. Microsoft Update is a nice application as long as it does not bother us with restart dialog.

When a certain Windows update requires to reboot the operating system, it nags with a dialog box requesting us to restart.

Luckily one simple command can disable this dialog box

1. Open command prompt window(Start-->Run...-->cmd-->enter)
2. Execute the command sc stop wuauserv

This command stops the service which popup the restart dialog. Now we can restart the operating system when are done with our work. The auto update service will restart next time when we boot and automatically downloads available updates.

Install Fedora to a flash drive using Windows

Even though the USB Fedora creation process is straight forward, here is a quick rundown of all the steps involved:

1. Select either to Use existing Live CD or Download Fedora
2. Set the Target Device to point to your USB flash drive
3. Move the Persistent Overlay slider to set the capacity to use for the persistent image
4. Click Create Live USB to begin the creation process

A nice progress bar will indicate the progress of your USB Fedora creation. Once the process has finished, simply restart your PC and set your System BIOS or Boot Menu to boot from the USB flash drive

If all goes well, you should now be booting into your own portable Live USB Fedora 8 or 9.

Trick to show your name in taskbar

Here is a trick to add your name in place of AM and PM beside time in the taskbar.


Goto Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language option -> Customize (beside English US) -> Go to TIME tab -> Change AM symbol and PM symbol from AM and PM to your name -> Apply -> Ok ...IS it changed ??? May be not ...Now go to time in taskbar and Double Click it to open "Date and time property" ...Look at the place where time changes in digital format i.e. 02:47:52 AM , click to arrow to change the AM or PM by selecting and press arrow.

It will Show your name Apply -> OK.

About Formatting your PC

View Administrator At Welcome Screen...

By default windows XP doesn't show the Administrator in the user list at the welcome screen.
Here's a way to get around it.
Go to run in windows menu type regedit and then navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\ WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\Userlist
create a new DWORD entry and name it as Administrator and change its value to 1.
exit and reboot for the changes to take effect.
To change it back change its value to 0 or simply delete the key
